Today we shopped at Lowes Home Improvement and bought a new handle for the boys shower, a new storm door, a cheap little rug/floor sweeper and scoped out new appliances. What fun!

The new door has a screen that rolls right up into the door. I didn't even know there WAS such a thing! What a perfect time to get a door that has a screen so some breeze can come into the house, so you can see who is at the door...so we can clean 'Harley' spit off the window every single day from his barking!

We picked out all matching color/brand appliances. We'll be spending about $2,500 to get all new appliances for our kitchen (stove [smooth top electric burners], dishwasher, side by side refrigerator and over the stove microwave). We chose the Whirlpool brand, and went with your basic, but easy to keep clean, white. I really do not get excited about the stainless steel and do not want a dark colored appliance. If I could get red, well, that would be a different story...but no red available. We haven't purchased the appliances yet, as we need to get the ceramic tile floor down...but soon. It is my goal to have the new appliances and floor done before Thanksgiving. Yipee. Now, Don....
